No Rest for Mom
Energetic River Pride Cubs Keep Things Lively There are few things on safari as heartwarming as watching young predator cubs explore their world. Recently, we were incredibly lucky to spend some quiet time near a thicket where a River Pride lioness was resting with her three young cubs, estimated to be just about a month and a half old

At this age, cubs are bundles of boundless energy, learning coordination and social skills through constant play. While the lioness was visibly exhausted and trying her best to sleep in the shade, her cubs weren’t having it. One cub in particular was determined to get her attention, playfully pawing at her face and rolling around beside her. It is a highly relatable scene for any parent! We are thrilled to see these three healthy cubs doing so well.
